Roles and Responsibilities

• Build and maintain systems and applications that provide basic network services.
• Participate in service projects, architectural planning, and basic network services.
• Network service design and troubleshooting assistance. Identifying maintenance and cost savings opportunities to improve platform efficiency.
• Participates in network service budgeting for lifecycle and risk management, including activities such as lifecycle management and service improvement planning.
• Setup routers and switches, hosted IP voice services, and firewalls.
• Bringing network equipment up to date with the most recent firmware updates.
• Informing important stakeholders on the state of the network.
• Create, design, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure the safety of data, network access, and backup systems.

Ideal Candidate

An ideal candidate will have the following attributes

• Excellent knowledge of network infrastructure and network devices.
• The ability to consider issues and picture solutions.
• Capability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices such as wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.
• Understanding of application transport protocols as well as network architecture. The ability to build and plan network communication systems using precise network diagrams and documentation.
• The capacity to learn new or unfamiliar technology and products fast through the use of documentation and Internet resources.
• Capability to collaborate with all levels of workers within and outside of IT and the company.
• A self-starter who can work independently but is also at ease in a collaborative setting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Dependable and adaptable.
• Experience in network security.
